Steven Hampton is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of extensive experience in the mortgage-backed securities (MBS) industry. His comprehensive expertise encompasses liquidity provision and strategic positioning across various asset classes, including MBS specified pools, Agency CMOs, Agency CMBS, asset-backed securities, and Small Business Administration loans. Steven began his illustrious career as Vice President at Duncan Williams Inc. (now part of South State Bank) in Charlotte, NC, where he dedicated a decade to honing his skills and building a robust foundation in MBS. He then took on the role of Partner and Executive Vice President at Nathan Hale Capital, concentrating on MBS trading for five impactful years. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found Zeus Financial LLC, where he excelled as Managing Director, leveraging his deep industry knowledge to enhance partner trading in MBS. Steven is now with First Tryon Securities, bringing with him not only a wealth of experience but also invaluable relationships that strengthen the mortgage-backed trading desk. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing from Winthrop University.
